  1. You recently released an LP titled ‘From The Sea To The Sky.’ How did that album come to be? I released my first album when I was 17. Ever since then, it's been a given to me that I'll be releasing music forever! I raised over $18,000 from my Kickstarter Campaign in July and was able to finally get into the studio after almost 4 years this past August. The album was written over the last few years and recorded in 10 days. :)
  2. There are elements of rock in your music, along with many elements of both folk and pop. Which side to you feel most connected to - the rock, folk, or pop? I feel very connected to all three. If I had to pick one, I guess I'd have to say pop because it sort of encompasses all 3 genres. Pop means popular, and any type of music can be “popular”, right? Pop music is very appealing to the ear and relies heavily on melody, and writing melodies is my favorite thing to do!
  3. Is there a genre of music that particularly inspires you? I truly try to take inspiration from every genre of music. While I mean what I said about pop music, I wouldn't necessarily say that I listen to more “pop” than anything else. Lately, I have been getting into stripped down, acoustic, bare to the bone music. It is taking me back to my roots!
  4. How would you define Camille Peruto’s brand? I'd say that I am all about bringing joy to people through music. I want to inspire young boys and girls. I want my songs to get through to people and make them think. I also want what I do to be enjoyable for people around me.
  5. You are playing shows almost every single day this month. How did you come across all of these gigs? Do you do the research and booking yourself? This summer, I did 90% of my own booking and worked extremely hard for it! I work with a couple awesome agencies that help me out as well. Last year I was booked almost completely by agencies but this summer I booked myself in advance. I am learning a lot by working with the agencies, and I'm preparing to book a tour on my own as well!
  6. If you could decide on the ultimate goal for your career, what would that goal be? The ultimate goal is to be a famous musician! Haha. To start out, my goal is to get my music to be in TV and movies. I would love to tour with other artists and meet people around the world who love my music and build a following that way.
  7. Now that you’ve released a full LP, what comes next? I will be releasing videos for some of the music on the album. I'll be playing shows and writing new material. I'll also be sharing the stage with some big artists this year! Thank you so much for your time interviewing me!!
