The all-American rock band also highlights some of their country roots on the track, encompassing a summery, yet nostalgic, feel. Starting with cover band gigs at local bars and fairs, Triple Addiction eventually worked their way up to playing original gigs at local venues such. In January 2016 the band released their first, self-titled EP which received good feedback from fans and critics alike. Triple Addiction combines catchy guitar riffs, vocal harmonies, and real down-to-earth lyrics to reach their audience. Their message is to spread positivity, fun, and good vibes to a world so saturated with negativity and anger. Their lyrics are real, their live show is full of fun and high energy, and they are looking to break into the rock and country market. You’re gearing up to release your new single, “Hard To Say Goodbye.” Why was this track chosen as the lead single off of your upcoming LP? The track shows a different side to us that we didn't have on our previous EP. We've matured in the past 3 years and have experienced much bigger problems then what we were experiencing in high school. This song is about holding on to something you don't want to let go of. We chose this song because we hope it's something that's easily relatable to any listener. Do you think “Hard To Say Goodbye” best represents Triple Addiction currently? In a way, it does. Our music has changed a bit and our writing style has grown over the years. This song was one of the ones that catapulted us into who we are as a band now. Does this track give listeners a sample of what they’ll hear on the LP, or will there be a variety of sounds? Hard to Say Goodbye lyrically and musically encompasses a lot of the record. It shows a heavy side musically but also the more heartfelt side lyrically. There is definitely going to be a lot of different sounds and vibes on this album that are different from Hard to Say Goodbye, but it is a good summary of what the album is all about. What comes next in this LP cycle? After this release we're going to be looking to release our second single, and then the full LP in the fall. Will you be touring to support your upcoming releases? We can only hope that the album and singles get a good response so touring will be a part of our future! What can you tell us about your upcoming LP release? The album has been in the works for a long time. It took a lot of writing and re-writing to get to where we are as a band now. We've grown and matured, our writing style has changed, and we hope we get a good response to the new Triple Addiction. The songs are as genuine as we could make them, and we're so excited to get them to everyone in the near future. How would you describe Triple Addiction in just one sentence? Triple Addiction is an authentic rock band with a great live show and relatable tunes! Most known as lead vocalist of the recently disbanded funky pop rock band Royal Street, Viana transforms into her own on "Wine & Roses"; it's fierce, unconventional, and pristine. The music video is a sophisticated, yet sensual, visual - a perfect companion for the sleek track. Although simple, the video’s aesthetic and color palette perfectly align with Viana’s vision on “Wine & Roses”; she has a beautifully developed and seasoned sense of self. A self-described 'dark alternative-pop' artist, Viana fashions an eerie, yet riveting sound on "Wine & Roses". About the track, she states: Wine & Roses is a song about losing yourself in what used to be. We get hung up on our past, and often times we let it put a negative hold on our future. As we live more and more, we learn more and more, and it shapes us into the person we are meant to be. Even the adverse times in our lives make us who we are in the long run. The song ends with saying “Keep the magic close, if it’s all you know. The wine will always flow.” Meaning keep your passions close to your heart and keep moving, and you’ll get where you need to be. All of the lessons you learn along the way will bring you there. The chorus proclaims, “ I’m stuck with visions of you” meaning that what happened in our past becomes a part of us...we don’t ever forget, but we can move onto better times while carrying the lessons we’ve learned. Viana has been singing ever since she can remember. She was born in the summer of 1993. Raised on church gospel, classic rock and a touch of jazz , Viana’s vocals have morphed through the years into a sound uniquely hers. A decade of fronting pop-punk bands, starring in local musical productions and dabbling in some moderate witchcraft have been integral in the formation of the ethereal melody-machine that is Viana. Viana’s sound can best be described as dark alternative-pop. Enchanting beats, flawless vocal runs and syrupy sweet lyrics are enough to wake the dead and get even the saddest bones moving. Her influences include other unique and strong female singer-songwriters such as Maggie Rogers, FKA Twigs, Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers and of course, our lord and savior, Beyoncé. With a style influenced by a combination of being a sucker for a catchy melody, yet still bringing a natural edge brought on by years of fronting rock bands, paired with her giant doe-eyes and freckles, Viana’s presence is one to pay attention to. Her gifts were shared while touring with past bands Sienna and Royal Street, playing to small groups in basements, and to crowds of 2,000+ enthusiastic and captivated show-goers. Viana’s mission through music is to connect with all people and remember that self expression should be about going with your gut and listening to your own instincts. Growing up in a female fronted band always striving to be the next big thing brings an unnecessary pressure. These days, she creates what she wants and what feels most comfortable for her, and wants to help her listeners do the same. After ten years of collaborative work, Viana’s fierce independence has led to the shedding of her past skin and the incubation of this unapologetically Viana project: new, strange, and no-fucks-given. "Wine & Roses" is available on all digital music platforms NOW. After gaining prominence on Spotify with his two singles "I Loved You, Once" and "Nobody's Nothing," Hazel Bloom continued to expand his artistry through the creation of "Space Between Words on a Page," layering pop melodies and R&B beats to create an infectious collection. Dave Carlin, the singer/songwriter behind Hazel Bloom, impresses on all 5 of the EP's tracks; he is insightful, creative, and incredibly skilled. About the EP, Hazel Bloom states: I recorded this EP over the course of the past year. A lot of growth and passion were put into these songs. A lot of time, effort and heart was poured into this release and I’m so excited to release this to the world. This EP is about past heartbreaks, learning to accept yourself, growing into your own skin, dreams, and passion. These are my real feelings portrayed through every line in each song. I hope that people can connect with the emotions of these songs as much as I do. The stylistically unique Pop artist Hazel Bloom is composed of one main singer/songwriter named Dave Carlin. He designed his stage name largely from a few main facets; the continuous blooming of love and nature. Dave wanted a title that fully defined his artistic vision as well as the ongoing growth of his persona. The main inspiration underlying Hazel Bloom is to create an infectious sound that induces the feeling of all emotions accompanied by heartfelt lyrical composition and melodies. Hazel Bloom encompasses bright and lively Pop melodies mixed with a unique, hard-hitting R&B style to create a uniform sound that will resonate with you. Though being well versed in the music scene, Hazel Bloom is the first artistry that Dave has felt completely alive and at home with. Hazel Bloom plans to leave his footprint in the music industry and has no intention of letting anything get in the way of that. Having released stories that were my life for many years is always a bit unnerving but I am could not be more proud & ecstatic that Love & Loss has become the world's stories. It is no longer just my life but it is out now for people to relate to and that is the most amazing feeling in the world. Why was “Love & Loss” chosen as the EP title? Love & Loss actually came out very organically when discussing the EP. I looked at the songs I had written and all of them had something to do with loving someone but also losing them or losing oneself. How does that title relate to the songs on the EP? All the songs relate to the title because they are all about either loving or losing or both even. They are all talking about different situations in my life but they are all about a similar concept. Which song on the EP do you think represents HAAS the best? Oh my! It is like asking to choose your favorite child. I believe the debut single, Behind Those Eyes really represents HAAS. Out of all 5 songs, which are you most excited to play live? Again, tough question! I think Didn’t Raise No Man. It’s just such a fun upbeat song you can dance to, it’s badass & it thanks all the people for making me, me. “Home” resonates such a strong combination of emotions. What is the meaning behind this track in particular? So this track is really interesting. I remember the summer of 2014 very clearly. I started writing it not knowing where the inspiration had come from. I played what I had written (about a verse or two & a chorus) for a good friend of mine & he asked where the inspo had come from. I tabled it for the rest of the summer and when I got back to college, a few weeks later I received a phone call that one of my best friends had taken his own life. I looked back at the song and realized it was about him & how he was suffering. I really believe to this day that was him trying to tell me what he was feeling and his reasoning for leaving us so suddenly. Sorry I know that was lengthy but you can’t explain it without all the detail! Do you plan on touring to promote the EP? I would love to tour to promote the EP but right now I do not believe that is in the cards right now. The plan is to get back into the studio, create some new music, build our fan base & hopefully tour in 2020! If it happens before that I will be nothing but excited!
