FEBRUARY 26th, 2018 - One week after the release of their new EP “Desire”, Alternative pop duo Æves have released the music video for their single “Wild Hearts.” The colorful visual, directed by Arielle Kruger, is a stunning alt pop display, reminiscent of a kaleidoscope. “Wild Hearts” showcases the duo in a performance setting, highlighting a rather psychedelic experience for the viewers. Their newly released six track collection “Desire” contains a combination of stripped down acoustic versions and their originally-recorded counterparts, as well as one remix. The duo, comprised of Molly O’Malley and Matthew Adam, successfully marry together elements of both alternative rock and electronic pop on “Desire,” creating a light, yet enthralling sound. About “Wild Hearts,” lead vocalist Molly states: “Wild Hearts was such a fun track to record. It’s a song that you can jive to and get lost in, or it’s a track that allows you to scream the chorus when you’re in your car. Or, heck, just do both at the same time. It was a fun one to write, and record, and I definitely have a special spot in my heart for it.” When longtime friends Matthew Adam and Molly O’Malley formed Æves in January of 2015, it was out of a fever dream. Drawing inspiration from contradicting local music scenes, the duo out of Louisville, KY found the solution in collaborating with each other. With the help by mentor, friend, and late local hero Bryan Puckett, Æves released their EP Ignite in June of 2016. After taking some time to hone their craft and evolve their sound, they flew out to Los Angeles to work with Marc Walloch, (Company of Thieves and AWOLNATION) returning with several completed songs and a more focused sense of ambition. Their new EP “Desire” marries the political rhetoric of punk rock with the vibrance of pop-electronic, creating a sound that is as invigorating as it is luminescent. In light of all the darkness shaping music and the world as a whole, Æves is paving a way for a future that is colorful and bright. “Desire” is out NOW. https://youtu.be/JSoxW8fgSAg Æves: “Wild Hearts” music video https://open.spotify.com/album/2sqvOvbI6h2T327VDLu8uZ?si=2e7f-RkKS7ee9nOim701ew Æves: “Desire” stream link CONNECT WITH ÆVES: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/aevesmusic/ Twitter: @Aevesmusic Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO9rHhz3nGSpXg1e6W-u0NA Instagram: @Aevesmusic All press inquiries, please contact: [email protected]

ALTERNATIVE POP DUO ÆVES DROP NEW EP “DESIRE” FEBRUARY 19th, 2018 - Alternative pop duo Æves are back with the release of their brand new EP “Desire”. The six track collection, featuring the previously released single “Loaded Love,” contains a combination of stripped down acoustic versions and their originally-recorded counterparts, as well as one remix. The newest single of the bunch, the electronically-tinged “Wild Hearts,” will have its corresponding music video released on 2/26/18. The duo, comprised of Molly O’Malley and Matthew Adam, successfully marry together elements of both alternative rock and electronic pop on “Desire,” creating a light, yet enthralling sound. About the growth of Æves, lead vocalist Molly states: “When we first started this project, I didn’t think we’d expand this much on it. I figured we’d just write some songs together and use it as an outlet. But people seemed to actually like what we were doing, and it blew my mind. I will never, ever take the fact that anyone takes the limited time they have out of their day to listen to our music, and nonetheless support us. It really means so much.” When longtime friends Matthew Adam and Molly O’Malley formed Æves in January of 2015, it was out of a fever dream. Highly reminiscent of Riot!-era Paramore, Wave Break blends early 2000’s pop punk elements with alternative cues to take on an energetic persona. Although just their second single and having only played shows in the Boston area thus far, the project was developed from Barber’s long-term past solo career, placing the band on an experienced playing ground. “Deadlock,” their debut track, officially put Wave Break on the map after having done underground work since Spring 2017. “Plaster City” is sure to get more eyes and ears on the band, having already been added into medium rotation on idobi Radio. Although no official release timeline has been announced, Wave Break has hinted at the release of an upcoming Spring EP. About “Plaster City,” the band states: "Plaster City is an upbeat anthem about standing up to those who try to tear you down. It's a metaphor for a state of mind that's incredibly difficult, if at all possible, to get out of. This song is by far the most aggressive one on our upcoming EP." Wave Break, a metaphorical term meaning to overcome adversity, is an apt name for the newly-formed Boston-based band. Founded in April 2017 by lead singer/rhythm guitarist Kelly Barber and drummer Mike Kolvek, their lyrics centralize on the theme of standing up to societal or social barriers. With the help of lead guitarist Alex Orav and bassist David Sachs, the band blends elements of post-hardcore, pop punk and emo rock for a sound that's all their own. Their debut single "Deadlock" was released in October, followed by a feature on The Undiscovered Sound on idobi Radio and a show slot opening for Oh, Weatherly (Hopeless Records) and Centerfolds (CI Records). Their second single "Plaster City," an anthem about standing up for yourself against those who try to tear you down, will release on February 16th and be added to regular rotation on idobi Radio. The band will also release a music video for the song and a full EP in the spring. “Plaster City” is out NOW. https://open.spotify.com/album/1b7gxVRbFlVThFMVJHuEM0?si=nJCGRkKXSEyvtZD6xXhCDQ Wave Break: “Plaster City” stream link CONNECT WITH WAVE BREAK: Website: www.wavebreakband.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wavebreakofficial/ Twitter: www.twitter.com/wavebreakband All press inquiries, please contact: [email protected] Congrats on the release of your debut EP! Where did the EP’s title come from? Thank you!! The title came from a line in the song Swimming Pools and it's the color I thought best described my emotion from this EP. You were previously involved in a project called The Wilts. How is your solo music different from The Wilts? The Wilts was all acoustic and this is more upbeat electronic but also does have some acoustic songs. This is coming completely from me so it's my own music style. Which project is more representative of you as an artist? Definitely this EP. It's all written by me and my producer and all my own emotions and the sounds I wanted. Which track on “Clear Blue” do you relate to the most? I relate to all of them since it's all personal and things that have happened but I'd say as of right now Square One is the most relevant to my life. Why should people take a listen to Elesa Marmo? How do you stand out amongst other modern pop artists? These are all stories that people can hopefully relate to and I try and write about things that aren't talked about that much like mental illness. Do you have any other release plans for 2018? More music definitely and hopefully some shows coming soon! Please list all socials! Twitter - @elesamarmo Instagram- elesamarmo Facebook-https://m.facebook.com/Elesa-Marmo-539885293037324/ You recently released a new EP this past Fall. Which track do you think is the most representative of The Bad Bees? The Canyon, the last track on the EP, does a nice job of grabbing what we are currently going for soundwise. Clear sounding but aggressive and driving. It’s a really cool track and a great closer. It pulls you in and out from chill soundscapes to pulsing rhythm sections. You also released a music video for “BooWho”. Why was this track chosen for a music video? The song has a big catchy chorus and is the second track on the EP. It has that aggressive driving style we’re going for but its a bright and fun sounding song so we thought folks would have a better time relating with it if they are just hearing us for the first time. How did you create the visual and concept for the video? The song talks about different emotions and we thought it would be cool to play around with bright colors to represent moods. Then we had the cool idea of each member of the band coming up with a scene or room to match their color. Then our main character would pass through each room and interact with the environment. What are your plans for 2018? Our biggest goal to date will be the writing and preparation for our 3rd round of music. We’re planning to hit the studio this fall. We’ve intentionally given ourselves some extra time to really let this new material take shape and come alive. Big Pretty was this collection of cool songs put together, we’re planning on making this next EP concept based and gelled. Do you have any touring in the works? Given that we’ll have so much time before our next studio session, we’re really looking to take advantage of branching out to new cities to meet new faces. We’re putting together dates now for some East coast touring over the summer. How does the Philadelphia music scene influence your music, if it does at all? Philly is a great city, super tough and gritty but genuine and lovable. I suppose that’s how we try to carry ourselves as musicians. https://www.facebook.com/thebadbees/ https://www.instagram.com/thebadbees/ https://twitter.com/TheBadBees "BooWho" music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Da0pmwM_IPI Your most recent release is a music video for “Night”. Why did you choose to make a video for that track? The reason we chose “Night" as our current single is because not only is it a band favorite but a fan favorite as well. “Night” was the best follow up to “Mirror, Mirror" because it shows our versatility as a band. “Mirror, Mirror” was our pop-rock track that everyone could sing along with and “Night” has a sing along vibe as well. During live performances the crowd always sings their heart out to the “woahs" in the chorus. Although “Night" is still a catchy track, it paints a much darker picture with lyrics that mean a lot to the band. How did you come up with the video’s concept? After sitting down with our director Henry Arres, we discussed possible storylines that would portray the song’s theme of loss. We brainstormed a few different ideas but in the end, we went with a concept where each member was faced with various bad circumstances. Vince, our drummer, lost a loved one and his scenes took place in a graveyard. Rikki, our guitarist, gets fired from his office job and you see him walking home next to train tracks. Dan, our lead guitarist, and singer Amanda have relationship trouble with their significant others and are filmed in their homes. Daniele, our bassist, struggles with alcoholism and gets kicked out of the bar and into the street. All of our separate lives come together during the performance segment of the video, symbolizing music is what brings all of us together. Do you have any other releases planned for 2018? In 2018 we plan on releasing our new E.P early this year and playing in different cities and states that we haven’t played before. What is the band’s upcoming show schedule? •February 8th Redwood Bar, Los Angeles •February 10th Karman Bar, Laguna Niguel •February 20th Joseph’s Cafe, Los Angeles •March 8th Alex’s Bar, Long Beach •May 5th Legacy Room, Chino (More TBA on our website www.werenogentlemen.com) How has WNG evolved since the release of your most recent EP? Our upcoming E.P. is a much more mature, modern, and raw representation of all of us. It feels as though our whole musical career has been leading up to this point. All the struggles of the past have been worth it because we feel as though we’ve found our home with We're No Gentlemen. We're truly a family who truly loves one another and it shows. We all come from very different backgrounds and use that to our advantage. We us our unique experiences and musical tastes together to create something we’re proud of. We know how lucky we are to have found this group! Although they have seemed relatively off the grid since the completion of “The Oasis Tour” in November, VISTA has been in the studio with ZK Productions (Mayday Parade, Set It Off, Chapel) working on new material. The production duo, made of Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, previously produced lead vocalist Hope Vista’s final solo EP in 2015. Although no official release timeline has been announced, the band has hinted that no new music will be dropping until later on this year. They will be returning to the stage in March, after recently announcing dates in NYC, Long Island, NJ, and Boston, some of their largest markets. In 2017, VISTA released their highly anticipated sophomore EP “Long Live,” played at Irving Plaza, gained idobi rotation with their single “Henchmen,” and completed two headlining tours. Conceived in late 2015, VISTA released their debut 4-track EP “VERSUS” shortly after, in which their debut single “On The Brink” debuted worldwide on idobi radio. Their name hasn’t been shy in the press since; the band has garnered praise from outlets such as Alternative Press, Rock Sound, Substream, and AXS. The band, consisting of lead vocalist Hope Vista and guitarist Greg Almeida, released their sophomore EP “Long Live” in July 2017, which combined both electronic and arena rock influences to create their modern alternative rock sound. The EP, immediately landed on three separate iTunes alternative charts and sparked their first two headlining tours, as well as garnering high-profile press and social media buzz. Although her first time releasing original music on her own, Marmo has most recently been involved in indie duo The Wilts, also based on Long Island. Now delving into mastering her own sound, “Clear Blue” is a beautiful representation of the two sides to Marmo’s artistry; mainstream electronic-tinged pop, and delicate, stripped back ballads. Produced and co-written by Greg Almeida (member of alt rock band VISTA), the EPs four tracks emit a summery feel, containing two upbeat, Carly Rae Jepsen-esque bangers, and two lax, very minimalistic tunes, all also co-written by Marmo. About the release of “Clear Blue,” Marmo states: “We started recording in July in Greg’s (producer, Almeida) bedroom studio and the whole process was so much fun. I think recording has always been such a liberating feeling for me just getting to experiment and watch songs come to life. The whole experience was therapeutic as well just getting all the feelings I was having out. I’m excited for people to hear the songs and my only goal with songwriting has always been to write honest songs from my life that others can relate to. If they can feel an emotion from the songs then I’ve done my job. I’m excited to perform these songs live and get to see reactions from people.” Elesa Marmo is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, New York. She’s been writing music since she could remember. After many years of wanting to pursue music, as well as releasing music as part of the indie duo The Wilts, Marmo most recently released her debut EP, titled “Clear Blue.” Produced by Greg Almeida (of alt rock band VISTA). Growing up listening to a large variety of mainstream pop artists, her original music is heavily influenced with electronic sounds and soft acoustic feels and blends those sounds perfectly. “Clear Blue” is out NOW. The video, directed by Henry Arres, is centralized around the general theme of loss, and allows every member of the band to have their own individual story. Originally a simplistic performance-based concept video. “Night” developed into a deep visual, directly based off of the song’s lyrics. Although still intermixed with performance scenes, the video allows a look into each band member’s personal experiences with both negative thinking and loss. About “Night”, the band states: "Night" is a song about wanting to let go of hurt. It's a build up of all of the experiences that have now become you. It's about wanting to let go of negative and suicidal thoughts. Most of the band has been affected by loved ones taking their own life so this song is very dear to our hearts. We're No Gentlemen was founded by drummer Vince Gudino, who had the intention of creating a high energy rock act with female-fronted flare. That vision was realized when front-woman Amanda Gabel joined the group and shared Vince's dedication towards assembling a successful and talented lineup. The puzzle was completed with the addition of bassist Daniele Boneddu, guitarist Rikki Juarez, and lead guitarist Dan Schiz. With the lineup solidified, We're No Gentlemen aggressively hit LA's live music scene and quickly gained traction. The release of a music video for “Mirror, Mirror” and the self-titled debut EP brought the band fans from all over the world and accolades from the LA music scene's seasoned professionals. From performing at bars to mesmerizing audiences at famed venues such as The Viper Room and Whisky A Go-Go, one thing that has impressed music lovers is We're No Gentlemen's genuine love for performing and having fun on stage; a passion that is equally shared with their fan-base as well.
