Thanks for having us on! We believe that Strawberry Moon really sets the tone/mood for our EP. When we finished the song, a bunch of our friends said they loved it and that they could see it as a single. We just stuck with it. Is there a primary songwriter in the band, or did all 5 of you write the EP tracks? Tyler and I write most of the lyrics/melodies, but all of us have put an equal effort into writing/recording this EP. - Matt Weiss Which song on the EP best defines Off Guard as a band? I think Hidden Messages really defines us as a band. It has a mix of all of our different musical backgrounds in one song. Now that an EP is released, what are your plans for the remainder of the year and early 2018? We plan to play as many shows as possible while promoting “Set the Scene”. We are also going to write as much as possible for a second EP. Looking back on the creation of the EP, what was the biggest adversity you overcame during that process? I think the biggest thing we overcame is creating a sound that we were all okay with. Being a team player is important in order to be in a band, and we are strong and creative as a team.
