SR: How are you doing?

KB: I’m doing great, I’m hot. It’s a beautiful day though.

SR: Agreed. So how many of you attended Warped Tour like back in the day?

KB: We all have attended Warped Tour. We all like dreamed of being on Warped Tour, but never thought we’d actually be, so it’s kind of come full circle. Years ago we won our Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands to play one date in our local Warped Tour and now we are playing half of Warped Tour, so it’s pretty amazing.

SR: What would you say is different about Warped Tour from any other shows you play?

KB: Um, it’s a completely different atmosphere, of course with the outside element. You don’t know if you are going to get a scorching hot day or rain or a windy day. Um, just tons of people, music all around, all the tents. I mean it’s just a completely different atmosphere than being inside, in a dark club, you know what I mean?

SR: Definitely. Tell me, what’s been your personal favorite song to perform?

KB: Right now I’m having a lot of fun playing our new songs. We released a couple new singles off of our new album, one of them being “Undefeated” the other one being “Chorus Of The Dead”. So those are my two favorites to play right now, because it’s so cool to see everybody’s reaction to the new material. And plus there’s a lot of people that already know the new material so they are singing along, so it’s a lot of fun.

SR: Let’s talk about the new album, when’s it coming out?

KB: It comes out August 7th, it’s called Rising Moon: Setting Sun. It’s our third full length album, our second full length on Artery Recordings, the one we are most proud of definitely so far. It’s just a great album in my personal opinion. A very aggressive album and meant to translate live. We wrote it so we can get interaction with the crowd live a lot you know, we are told we are a really good band live so we kind of tried to focus on that factor with this album.

SR: Okay, that’s awesome. What about after Warped Tour, what are plans there?

KB: We are about to announce a headlining tour for September. We will probably be announcing that in about a week and a half or so. We have that for September and it will go a little bit into October. And then towards the end of October and into November we have a full US tour as well, but we have yet to announce that.

SR: Why should someone come and watch a Sirens and Sailors set? What do you bring that is different than everyone else here?

KB: There’s some metal bands on this tour, but I like to think that we are a little bit, uh, more of an aggressive band. We bring a different energy. You get a hundred percent every time we perform. Whether it be to ten people or to a hundred people, or a thousand people you know, we are always giving a hundred percent. We are very high energy and entertaining. We like to interact with the crowd, get in their faces, especially if they know the words. I’m always right there in front of them, giving them the microphone, giving them the opportunity to have their voice be heard. But you know, yes we are not playing one of the bigger stages this tour, but we pack a lot of punch and we hope to think that maybe next year we will be playing on the bigger stage. Hopefully we can make a big enough impact playing the Ernie Ball this year.

SR: That’s great! So have you gotten to see any of the other sets?

KB: Of course.

SR: Who do you recommend? Who’s been one of your favorites?

KB: We check out August Burns Red every single day, that’s one of our favorite bands. Beartooth of course, we are good friends with Beartooth, they have always had a great set. Let me think, we’ve been catching a lot of bands that we don’t normally listen to or that we have never heard of, but met on Warped Tour. We’ve made friends with these guys in Handguns, which are really cool guys. Um, we’ve been watching a little bit of PVRIS here and there, stuff like that. You know, there’s something for everybody out here.

SR: Cool, well thank you so much for talking to us.

KB: Anytime!

Take some time to check out Sirens and Sailors and listen to "Chorus Of The Dead" below!
