INTERVIEW: Elesa Marmo chats new single "Strawberry Candy"

How did the concept for “Strawberry Candy” come about? 
            Strawberry Candy is complete sarcasm. I actually came up with the chorus while sleeping and it stuck with me. I couldn’t figure out what I was going to make of it but then I had this idea of making a whole song about being “ghosted” but it almost being a turn on.
How does the track differ from the music on your EP earlier this year? 
            It’s more of a full band sound rather than all electronic although it does still have that feel. 
Was the new single a natural progression from the EP? 
           Absolutely. This was just a growth process for me writing wise and even production wise for my producer Greg Almeida it was a new challenge for him as well. 
Will “Strawberry Candy” become part of a larger body of work? 
            I will be starting to work on a second EP very soon and Strawberry Candy will be okthat as well. 
How would you describe the single in just three words? 
            Sarcastic. Sweet. Electric.
