GLASS HOUSE POINT RELEASE NEW SINGLE “POLARIS” Listen to “Polaris” HERE TAMPA, FL - Central Florida indie rock band Glass House Point are riding their momentum in their new single “Polaris,” out TODAY. The band’s sound is centered around a 4-piece lineup backed by crisp harmonies, synths, and string ensembles. Overall the sound is sophisticated, yet untamed — a quite beautiful contradiction. The single takes many unexpected twists and turns, showcasing a bold dynamic. Followed by their August single “Creatures,” “Polaris” continues the journey to their upcoming fall EP, due out in October. Glass House Point also dives into a new sound with “Polaris,” which is representative of their new work. About their new music, the band states: “Over the past year, we’ve been working really hard to settle into a new sound. I think that touring and meeting new people has really attributed to us finding our new direction.” Glass House Point is an indie-rock band hailing from the tropics of Central Florida: a place riddled with abundant sunshine and torrential rainfall. The band formed during the particularly stormy Summer of 2013 and has since cultivated a sound that completely defies the expectations of East Coast music culture. Ambient swell and soothings lulls put Glass House Point’s music into a category of its own: a category that has yet to be explored by today’s indie artists. The band’s past ventures include extensive US tours and the release of their debut record Love Lives in Dark Places (2016). Most recently, Glass House Point has recorded their sophomore EP with Grammy-nominated engineer & producer, Aaron Gandia. Glass House Point recently embarked on the “Think Fast; It’s Gone” Tour. “Polaris” is available NOW. SURVIVAL KIT RELEASE NEW SINGLE “VALEDICTORIAN” ATLANTA, GA | OCTOBER 9TH, 2017 - Atlanta rock/pop quartet Survival Kit experiment with sounds from their personal musical influences on their new single, “Valedictorian,” out TODAY. At the start of 2017, the band decided to start writing more accessible music by taking elements of pop music and writing great songs that we love within those bounds. Adapting a change of pace in their writing style, the band released the single “Stranger Things” this past July, which showcased their new infectious and care-free style. Hoping to push their own internal boundaries, “Valedictorian” is just a small taste of their upcoming new music, expected to be released in the following months. About the single, the band states: ““Valedictorian” is written from the perspective of a person who suspects his or her spouse is fooling around with someone else. They see all the signs, but the spouse continues to hide what’s happening because they think they can get away with it. That’s why the title of the track became Valedictorian. The spouse thinks that he or she is smarter than the rest. The main character is basically saying that they are not a fool and they can see everything that’s going on in clear view.” After years of honing their craft in different projects, Travis Blake, Andrew Lynn, Billy Kilgore, and Allen Beck finally all came together to form Survival Kit in late 2015. Transitioning from their Punk roots, Survival Kit took influence from Pop and Rock music to create soaring choruses and infectious hooks. In the two years since forming, Survival Kit burst out into the Atlanta scene; a culmination of years of touring, practicing, and writing created something that went beyond what audiences were accustomed to. This new and exciting sound led to sold out shows, fronted by genuine talent and raw energy, uncommon in many of today’s artists. Their 2016 release, Hard Work & Dedication, talks about vulnerability, addiction, loathing, and taking a stand. “Valedictorian” is out NOW.
